Although six years is not a long period of state development, it is quite enough to implement serious steps, including the establishment of such an institution as the High Anti-Corruption Court, which today is an important component of the national judicial system and properly performs its functions in times of war.
The issues behind the idea of establishing the HACC remain relevant today, and in today's realities, they have become even more so - the categories of cases under the jurisdiction of the HACC are undoubtedly on a par with crimes against national security in terms of their level of public danger.
This was emphasised by President of the Supreme Court Stanislav Kravchenko during the roundtable discussion "6 Years of the HACC: Results and Prospects".
According to Stanislav Kravchenko, we are currently witnessing a rather active improvement of legislation, which provides for the optimisation of certain procedures and the introduction of new approaches to the consideration of cases by the High Anti-Corruption Court. And such legislative initiatives undoubtedly help to improve the judicial system as a whole, so this work should be continued.
At the same time, the HACC, like the entire judicial system in general, faces challenges that significantly complicate its work. First of all, there is a shortage of staff and problems with material support. In this context, Stanislav Kravchenko noted that the courts are ready to perform their functions, but at the same time they have the right to speak out loudly about the need for appropriate human and material resources to ensure the effective functioning of the system.
Finally, the SC President expressed his appreciation to the judges and staff of the HACC for their work and wished them peace, courage, strength and optimism, stressing that if you have a goal and follow it clearly, you can achieve the desired result.
